Sally Maurine Hatley-Beebe

March 3, 1930 - February 3, 2021

Sally M Hatley-Beebe, 90, of Kalkaska passed away peacefully and leapt into the arms of Jesus February 3, 2021. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Sally was born March 3, 1930, in Mancelona Michigan, to Leo and Marvel Scadin. Sally married her first love, Wilbur Hatley on June 26, 1948 at the Mancelona United Methodist Church. Theirs was a love story written with friendship, laughter, and a partnership that was adored by so many. Together, they raised their family, two sons, Mike and Bill and one daughter, Patti. After their children had families of their own, they took great joy in spending time with their grandchildren and watching them grow. Wilbur preceded Sally in death on April 8, 1996. In 1998, Sally married Lloyd Beebe. Together, they lived out their retirement years to the fullest. They travelled to many places within the United States and also travelled to Germany to visit her brother Gary. Sally loved their adventures and sharing her memories of the places they had visited with anyone who would listen. Lloyd preceded Sally in death on November 30, 2019. Sally was a lifelong Christian woman who loved Her Lord and Savior and was a mentor to many. She was actively involved in her church, community choir, Eve club, Kiwanis club, a volunteer at KAIR and many other community activities. In 1997, Sally was awarded the title of Citizen of the Year. She took great pride and joy in receiving this honor. She was proud to be from Kalkaska and loved her community. Sally is survived by her brother, Gary (Inga) Harrison of Dachau Germany, her sister in law, Karen Scadin of Central Lake, her children Michael Hatley of Kalkaska, William (Karen) Hatley of Livonia, Patti (David) Bury of Kalkaska, her grandchildren Rebecca, Jeremy, Laura, Courtney, Tom, Melissa, Randy, Mary, Jon, Brandon, Sabina, Joe and Lisa. She had several great grandchildren and shared a special bond with her 1st great granddaughter, Maddie. Sally is also survived by Lloyds children Sherry (Doug), Terry (Bruce), Mike (Loretta), Kathy (Michael), Cindy (James), Vicki, his grandchildren and great grandchildren that she deeply loved. Sally was preceded in death by her loving husbands, Wilbur Hatley and Lloyd Beebe, her brothers Jim and Bill and her parents. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kalkaska Memorial Assisted Living (The Big Yellow House) in appreciation for the wonderful care and companionship provided by the staff. There will be a visitation at the Kalkaska Funeral Home Sunday February 7, 2021 from 2-8 pm, a visitation at the Kalkaska United Methodist Church Monday February 8, 2021 at 10am with a funeral service at 11am. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
