Manon Margaret Hart, 91, of Kalkaska, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center LTC. Manon enjoyed dancing and socializing, and treasured her ability to do oil painting. In addition, Manon worked at the Kalkaska County Gov. Center for 14 years as deputy treasurer, civil defense coordinator as well as doing secretarial work for several agencies. In 1999 she retired after 14 years working at the District Health Department. Manon has not only left a legacy of accomplishments, but most importantly her family and friends. She is survived by her three sons: Russell (Jacqueline), Alan (Carol), and Ryan (Mary); foster daughter Paulette (Merritt) Archer; grandchildren: Wyatt, Lucas (Tonya), Eryn (Suvro), Matthew (Maleah), John (Julie), and Gregory; foster grandchildren: Sharon (Mike), Shawn (Mike), Carmen, Rebecca (Matt), Merritt Jr. (Lori), Mark, and Jana (Ryan); many great grandchildren and foster great grandchildren; sisters: Caroline Nolf and Sonia Tubbs; brother Andrew (Linda) Larson and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Devere Hart, and foster daughter Marilyn Shakleford. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Friday, March 13th at Kalkaska Funeral Home. Final visitation will be from 10-11 AM on Saturday, March 14th , with Mass beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church with Fr. Norman Dickson, S.J. presiding.
