Gerald D. Withey

June 4, 1954 - January 23, 2022

Gerald “Jerry” David Withey, 67, of South Boardman passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Munson Medical Center. He and his twin brother, James were born in Flint, Michigan on June 4, 1954 to the late Arthur and Mable (Campbell) Withey. Jerry was married for 46 years to the love of his life, Sue (Pointer) Withey. Jerry was known as a very friendly man who never met a stranger. Many friends and family called him by his nickname, Puffer, given to him by his brother Art. He enjoyed taking fishing trips and traveling with his wife. Jerry was a practical engineer who was always working on something. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening and always had plenty to share with the neighbors. He loved to help people especially his grandsons who he taught to fish, shoot and run a backhoe. Jerry’s favorite saying was, “We’re not here for a long time, just a good time.” He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sue; daughter Becky Jones; grandsons Addam and Siion; siblings Mary Slocum, Karen Brady, Wendy Browe and Janice Withey; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Josephine Boillett, Arthur F. Withey and his twin James L. Withey. A Celebration of Life will be held this summer.
