Roberta Kleeman

Roberta Lee (Hall) Kleeman, age 83, has made her way to Heaven. She was greeted with joy by her husband and four of her children (Jeff, Jackie, Rhonda, and Sherry) on Friday, February 16, 2024, along with numerous other dear family and friends. She was born to Kenneth and Alice (Brewer) Hall on July 8, 1940, in the Fife Lake Area. On July 6th of 1963, she married Lonnie “Siy” Kleeman and they had 40+ years together. Surviving her are her daughter Mary Kaye (Daniel) Cunningham, grandchildren Allen Bartholomew, Corey Kleeman, Solana Sullivan, and Jerimiah Sullivan, siblings Marge Brunett and John Hall. Along with her husband and children, her immediate family rejoining her in Heaven are her parents and her siblings Chuck Hall, Rose Martinson, Rebecca Cole, and baby James. Honorary siblings on the Kleeman side: Sonny, Jim, Toot and Duane, Teena and Ken, Kenny and Dee, Sal and Andy, Bob and Vickie, Bonnie and Bob, Linda and George, Norval, Grace Curry, Kate, Larry some of which also met her in Heaven. Roberta’s home was in South Boardman for most of her life. Her final, earthly, home was the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center-Long Term Care. One of her favorite pastimes was singing and playing hymns on the piano, which she had taught herself to play, along with her husband’s listening ear. Her mother taught her to sew, knit, and crochet which she did all her life. She loved many games, including playing tons of rounds of Rummy. Her flare for style showed when she dressed up, wore brightly colored clothes, and fancy lipstick. R&L Polk & Company employed Roberta for many years as a typist/proofreader until she decided to retire and help her daughter with daycare for her boys. Roberta had a strong hand in raising grandsons Johnathan James and Sean William Ricketts and was very dear to her other grandchildren as well. Over the years, she attended many Sunday worships at South Boardman and Fife Lake United Methodist Churches. There will be a Celebration of Life Luncheon this summer at the South Boardman American Legion. We hope that friends and family will attend and share memories with us. Details of the event will be announced as we get closer. It is with the utmost gratitude that our family would like to thank ALL who LOVED and CARED for Miss Roberta (aka Bobbie and Bert).
