Myron Dale Lambert

Myron Dale Lambert was born Sept. 20, 1940. Our most giving and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend slipped peacefully from this life into the waiting arms of forever peace on Jan. 21, 2012. Myron had the most vibrant personality and giving heart of any angel on earth. His story was written and always will be remembered by a mischievous zest for life. Myron loved to laugh and had such an appreciation for laughter that it very often came at the expense of etiquette and appropriate behavior. And that's why we loved him so dearly! We'll always remember his smile, his warm embrace, his generosity and his knack for "stirring the pot" for comedic effect. Myron packed many loves and tragedies into the colorful story of his life that he spent the last 71 years writing. To say he was simply a story teller would be doing him a terrible injustice! Myron's tales were always filled with characters too countless to mention. In every corner of the world there was someone who started off a stranger and within a short period of time, became a dear friend. Without Myron, our hearts are broken and our tears are endless, but our memories and joys of him are immeasurable. His laughter will never leave us. We will continue to see Myron in all the smiles he put on the faces of those he loved so dearly. We will cherish every second spent with him and will do our best to continue writing chapters within his divine comedy. Myron's story would be incomplete without the mention of those he leaves behind. He is survived by his first love, Jane Rogers, of Fife Lake; daughter, Norann Pruitt (Beax), of San Jose, Calif.; daughter, Bonnie Clark (Ray), of Kingsley; son, Glade (Barb) Lambert, of Fife Lake; grandchildren, Anthony, Meranda and Danyle Lambert, of Traverse City; great-grandsons, Dyllyn, Eyllys and Stephen Saunders, of Rapid City; his big sister, Rachael Russel (Wayne), of Flint; brother, Gary Lambert (Diane), of Flint; brother, Ray Lambert, of Ohio; and numerous dear nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Annabelle Lambert; his son, Myron Dale Lambert Jr.; his sisters, Maxine Neihardt and Ardell Lantzer; and his brother, Sam Lambert. A celebration of Myron's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Fife Lake American Legion Hall. At Myron's request, we have forgone the bad organ music and somber routine, and will instead raise a glass, deliver our best jokes, tell some stories and laugh. These are the things that kept Myron young at heart and are the things that will continue to preserve his fun loving spirit and memory.
