Jeffrey L. Schlaack

A loving Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Jeff Schlaack, of Kalkaska Michigan, was welcomed home to the loving arms of his Lord when he passed away suddenly on the morning of Tuesday November 30, 2021. He was 63 years young at his passing and died of complications due to Covid-19. He was too young and will be, greatly missed. He was born in Owosso, Michigan January 27, 1958 grew up predominantly in Michigan, was a Graduate of Grayling High School and attended Northern Michigan University. Jeff was married twice. His Father, Lary Ted Schlaack, preceded Jeff in death. He is survived by, his Mother, K. Jean Schlaack and Sister, Cindy Schlaack, of Kalkaska, MI. and Brother, Ted Schlaack (Judith spouse) of McKinney, Texas. Children: Jeffery E. Schlaack of Holland, MI, Christyna Schlaack (Dustin Mason spouse) of Grand Haven MI, Brigitte Davis (Tanner spouse) of Grand Haven MI, Austin Schlaack (Nina spouse) of Bellingham WA, Colton Schlaack (Anna spouse) and Logan Schlaack of Elk Rapids MI. Grandchildren: Caiden Lefere, Sophia and Kendall Davis, Sadie Lee Schlaack, Jackson and Maverick Mason, Alex and Audrianna Schlaack. Uncles Aunts: David Schlaack (Karen Spouse), Edward Sedlacek and Margie Carland. Niece: Stephanie Schlaack. Cousins: Scott Schlaack, Eddie Sedlacek, Kit Hoffman, Charles and Chris Carland, Wendy Schlaack, Jane Ann Alder and Suki Heistand. Jeff attended Whitehall, Vanderbilt and Grayling High Schools, was a Michigan State Champion wrestler and attended Northern Michigan University on a wrestling scholarship. Jeff Schlaack was a PCAM & LSM Property Manager, who managed major developments and properties in Traverse City Michigan, Dubois, Pennsylvania, Tobyhanna Pennsylvania, Bellingham Washington and Port Aransas Texas. He owned Naturescape Landscaping as well as Property Asset Specialties in Traverse City Michigan. Over the years, Jeff spent his free time as a volunteer wrestling coach at Traverse City and Elk Rapids Michigan, Bellingham Washington, Dubois and Albrightsville, Pennsylvania. Coaching in both Middle and High Schools. Like his father, he loved making a difference in the lives of kids. More than anything, he loved his family and was dedicated to his six children his entire life. Jeff was a fun loving guy who always saw the best in others, looked at everything in life as half-full, never met a stranger and would many times go without, so others could have what they needed. The family will host a “Celebration of Life” followed by a Luncheon, for family and friends 11:00 AM, Saturday December 11, 2021, First Christian Church, 3686 W.
