James Louis Reuschlein

James L. Reuschlein, age 63, of Bear Lake Township, went to be with the Lord on September 18, 2023. While his family and friends are devastated by his death, they are thankful for his life. Jim was born on July 6, 1960, in Kalamazoo, to the late Philip and Patricia (Mealy) Reuschlein. Jim dedicated his life to both his family and his career. He consistently prioritized his family while excelling in Property Management, ultimately ascending to the role of President and CEO at Clearview Property Management, LLC. Beyond his career and family, Jim had a special place in his heart for Bear Lake. He cherished the serene beauty and tranquility of Bear Lake, spending countless memorable moments there over the years. Jim embraced life with unwavering enthusiasm, approaching each day as if it were his last. He was even known to extend vacations by one more day to savor precious moments with his loved ones. Jim had the ability to light up every room he entered and never left a place without a new friend. His loved ones were his top priority, and he consistently put their needs ahead of his own. Jim's greatest gift to his loved ones was his unwavering care and devotion to his family; nothing meant more to him. He eagerly anticipated the arrival of a new Reuschlein into the family this November, his first grandchild. To his family, he will forever be remembered as a devoted husband and father. His wife, Kelli, will cherish the memory of Jim as the love of her life and her closest confidant. His children will forever hold him in their hearts as their hero, role model, and best friend. Jim is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kelli (Cardis); his four children: Curran (Amanda), Cassandra (Benjamin) Good, Ellie, and Sarah; his sisters: Sue (Joe) Karich, Kathy (Dan) Peckham, seven nephews, four nieces, and numerous relatives and friends. Jim was predeceased by his parents, and siblings Amy (Jésus) Chavez and Julie. Please join us in celebrating his life during a visitation on September 27, 2023, from 5-9 p.m. at Kalkaska Funeral Home. There will be a vigil service during the visitation at 7 p.m. and will allow time for the sharing of memories. A funeral mass will be held on September 28, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska.
