Anna Marie Voice

Marie Voice, 84, of Fife Lake, passed away on September 21, 2022 at Munson Hospice House of Traverse City, with her loving family by her side. Marie was born January 20, 1938 in Ferndale, Michigan, to the late Walter and Anne Larsen. In the early 1940’s the family returned to Traverse City and settled on a farm. Marie graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1955 and enjoyed her employment as a Grand Traverse County deputy clerk. On April 27th, 1957, she married Harry E. Voice at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Traverse City. They shared 56 happy years together. Through the years Marie supported her son’s education and activities by volunteering at school, helping out with cub scouts and boy scouts, PTO, chaperoning and faithfully attending school programs and sporting events. Marie retired from the US Postal Service after serving 20 years as a part-time postal clerk in Fife Lake. She also served many years on the Fife Lake Village Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, as well as several community organizations. Marie was a member of the Fife Lake United Methodist Church and served on several officer positions, boards and committees. Marie cherished time with her family. She is survived by her sons Edward (Gayle Joseph) Voice of Alden, Steven (Kathryn Huffman) Voice of Fife Lake; grandchildren: Beth Ann (Andrew Butler, fiancé) Olosky of Williamsburg, Joann (Bryon) Miracle of Kewadin, Ryan (Amber) Voice of Williamsburg, Mitchell (Jaclyn) Voice of Williamsburg; great grandchildren: Elijah, Topher, Gunnar, Joshua, Jayna, Riley, Rebecca, Landon, Morgan, Dominic, Brielle, Peyton, and Brady; her brother W. Chris Larsen of Reno, NV and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry in 2013, parents Walter and Anne Larsen, and sister-in-law Patricia Larsen. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 10am-11am at Fife Lake United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be at 11:00am following visitation at Fife Lake United Methodist Church with Pastor John Messner presiding. Burial will take place at Fife Lake Township Cemetery following the service.
